Appreciated the breakfast.
They had a bar in the reception. We had classic queen room with a fan, comfy beds plus good view.
-
We enjoyed staff and amenities, nothing too much trouble.
Planned to see Edinburgh major attractions and it was ideal place for visiting all of them. The spa area was great to relax.

Thanks, you are amazing!

We enjoyed this designer hotel and stayed here for 2 nights. The room we had included a private safe, an iron and an electronic key card.
-
The hotel is at a convenient location and easy to get around but without the noise and traffic. Size of room is decent. Friendly reception and concierge.
The bathroom decor is dated. Bathtub/shower set up didn't work well. The floor will be flooded with water after a shower. House cleaning can be better too, there was dried up tooth paste on the water tumbler in the bathroom.

Very good location. Easy walk to shops, restaurants. Room was large enough and clean. On first floor, which was convenient. View was of a parking area AND garbage bins!! No matter. Could have used a towel bar in bathroom. However this is the same in many hotels in Europe and U S Had a light supper in the bar. Friendly waiter and tasty soup. Breakfast was generous buffet. Could order special eggs, porridge etc. from kitchen @ no extra charge. Desk personnel were, in general friendly and helpful. However, the young, short, dark haired women [did not get her name] @ desk when we checked in on a Sunday, park of an INSIGHT tour, was not friendly or welcoming. Our room was not ready, no problem, but she did not page us in the very small adjoining lobby when it was ready. After a period of time had to go to desk to check on availability. Did not see her behind the desk any other time.

The hotel staff especially on reception were very helpful and let us stay in our rooms until 1.pm as 2 of our party were not well. They also kept us updated on the situation with volcanic ash as some flights had been affected. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order. The location of the hotel is perfect - in a quiet location but within easy walking distance of the city centre but buses avaible outside the door if you wished.
The drinks in the bar and restaurant were expensive so we went out instead. One of the rooms we booked did not have a fridge or iron but this was a minor inconvenience.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were courteous and helpful, our room was spacious, well-appointed, and quiet....couldn't ask for more. It was well-placed for the Royal Mile, Arthur's Seat, Holyrood Palace etc. Will return.

excellent value and staff were excellent

Perfect location, quiet yet very close to the Old city. Next to Dynamic Earth overlooking Arthur's Seat. Bus service is excellent, just outside the hotel or at next street (Royal Mile). Bus No 36 takes you directly to Waverley station. Staff was very friendly and willing to help. We arrived at 15:00 yet we had to wait for our room to be ready for max 10' after checking in(not a prob as staff was very polite and lobby nice) The room was very clean and spacious (we were given a room for the disabled because the hotel was fully booked), we enjoyed a lot relaxing on its sofa. The free bottle of water in the room was very welcomed and the tea facilities very thoughtful. 1' walk from Tesco was highly appreciated. Gym facilities were excellent, pool facilities were good- big pool but not much space to seat around. We enjoyed staying in this hotel and we would recommend it.
Breakfast rate was different than the one stated on the site but as soon as we told the front staff they were very eager in correcting it, yet I feel breakfast was overpriced for what it offered (Upgraded Continental Breakfast at 13.50 pounds and English one at 15.50 pounds) We found it much better to have continental breakfast at the coffee shop next to the hotel at 5.50 pounds.

We very much enjoyed our stay and all staff were extremely nice and helpful.

Location
TV stand was only 2.5 feet high so you couldn't see it from the bed (had to sit on the floor) Waiter not service oriented

I liked the hotel and the staff were polite and helpfull, the hotel was very clean, and although we did stay for an overnite it would have been nice to stay longer and try out the spa area ...mabe do that another time...Breakfast was excellent and staff attentive ...
I did not like the fact that we had to pay 20 pounds to park the car at the hotel...customers should be made aware of this at time of booking. they charge 109 pounds a nite for a room you should not be charged for parking an already paying customer who will incur more prices within the hotel plus 15.50 pounds for room service alone is shocking and thats before you purchase anything from the service and also that you should be able to get something more than just a sandwich after 12am...

Facilities good and staff very helpful. Hotel positioned in quiet location but not too far from any main attraction. Recomended
Breakfast could do with a bit of a shake-up.
